Dr. Ellen Jordan is a Texas Cooperative Extension dairy specialist. Her areas of expertise are in reproduction and nutrition. She co-developed the Heat-Synch protocol, which was widely used by many producers as a breeding program. In addition, she has worked with herds in developing control programs for Johne's Disease. Jordan formerly was President of the American College of Animal Nutrition, as well as a Director and Treasurer of the American Dairy Science Association. Currently, she is on the Board of Directors for the Dairy Cattle Reproduction Council.

 Teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Animal Science and Ruminant Nutrition. In addition to teaching responsibilities, hold a 25% research appointment at the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station in Stephenville, TX where he conducts research in the area of nutrient management and calf nutrition. Also serves as the faculty advisor for the Tarleton State University Dairy club and Block and Bridle club.
Research interests include nutrient management from a nutritional, as well as an environmental standpoint. Also interested in using stable isotopes in ruminant animals to determine protein and amino acid requirements.
A member of the American Dairy Science Society and the American Society of Animal Science.

Dr. Luis Tedeschi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Science in College Station.
His areas of expertise includes development of nutrition submodels and he is a contributor to the Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System and the Cattle Value Discovery System.
